    Rushing to judgements and conclusions!

Many of you know that I wear several hats: I guide people through Europe during the summer months, I co-own a multimillion business in the travel industry and I coach people in mindset, attitude to life and self-healing.

During a recent tour I had a chat with a very smart gentleman from Australia about how fast people draw conclusions and judge a person or a situation based on only one or two facts, far from even grasping the part of the picture. At the end of our conversation, knowing that I am history buff and of course to also get his point across, he asked me the following questions which I thought would benefit my blog readers greatly.

    Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

    Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote
counts. Here are the facts about the three candidates.
    Candidate A:
Associates with crooked politicians and consults with astrologists. He has had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 Martinis a day.
    Candidate B:
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.
    Candidate C:
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never committed adultery.

He then asked me which of these candidates I would choose?

I wasn’t quite sure what to answer, as I was certain these were trick questions and for sure they were! Because when I heard the answers, my jaw dropped!
    Candidate A is
Franklin D. Roosevelt. Candidate B is Winston Churchill, and candidate C is Adolf Hitler.

And, by the way, regarding the answer to the first question: since I had answered YES, I had just killed Beethoven ;))

This small conversation helped me to remember to never judge too fast anything and to make sure to dig deeper and to learn more about any situation that I am facing.

How to Utilize our malleable mind and memory in Creating the most Fulfilled Life – Ever!

I recently had the incredible pleasure of attending some of Jan Hargrave's seminars on body language. She also delved into the jury selection process in court hearings which gave us an incredible insight into how much thought, work and energy is put into simply selecting the right jurors for a specific case. She then moved on to talk about how much you can read from a witnesses body language as opposed to the spoken word and how much a witness really remembers or simply believes to remember, and this is the topic that I would like to write about today: is reality seen through our eyes or created in our brain whether we have actually seen/heard something or not?

Part of the problem is that the brain does not have a knack for retaining many specifics and is highly susceptible to suggestion. Our memory is weak and usually overloaded with information. An event usually happens so fast that when we are asked to recount specifics of the event we can hardly remember any details as we never focused on the even in such detail. Hundreds of studies have already shown that memories are malleable and, contrary to popular belief, don't work like a video recorder but rather like a grainy slide show.

And here are some examples: in a 1974 study at the University of California, Irvine, participants were asked to view films of minor car accidents in which no glass was broken. When the subjects were asked how fast the cars were driving when they 'smashed' into each other – as opposed to 'hit' – they were more likely to describe shattered glass they never saw. In 1999 researchers at Harvard University showed a video of people dressed in either black or white passing a basketball. The participants were asked to count the number of passes made by players in white. During the test, a woman dressed in a gorilla suit strolled through the players. She remained unnoticed by about half of the subjects. And finally, just to make my point, distraction is not limited to the eyes: at the University of London a 69-second long audio recording of two men and two women preparing for a party was played to a group of participants. Almost all the subjects instructed to listen to the women did not hear a third man repeating 'I am a gorilla' for 19 seconds during the conversation.

These are very powerful findings: if you tell your mind to focus on something – anything – it will filter out everything else, just like a computer.

You can utilize this feature to create the most fulfilling, healthy and happy life for yourself – simply program your mind to see what you ultimately would want to see. Visualize it, bit by bit. Scientists have already proven to us that our brain cannot distinguish whether we saw an object or a situation with our own eyes or whether we 'only' imagined that object or scene by thinking about them. Why not take advantage of this most powerful feature of our brain/mind/computer and program it so that can experience life the way we would want to?

Now most of you might sigh and ask – but how am I supposed to do that?! This is much, much easier than you might think: simply visualize, in every possible tiny detail, the outcome or result you would want to see happen. And allow the rest to simply unfold for you.

Have fun programming your mind into creating the best life ever for you!

My Friend’s Wedding in Norway or the Merger of Two Families

Las weekend I visited my friend R in Norway as I was invited to attend his wedding. Needless to say that it was a magnificent event. It was the warmest March since recordings started – last year the still had a foot of snow on the ground – the sun was shining, it was a brilliant cloudless Saturday afternoon and we were overlooking the town from a gazebo set atop a hill.

It is not so much the wedding and the festivities that I would like to talk about but rather what I had the pleasure to observer 'behind the scenes' – the everyday life of two families merging and becoming one. R's lovely wife H has three daughters, a 7, a 10 and a 16 year old. And R has the coolest 8 year old son you can possibly imagine – but that is another story altogether. R and H only met less than 2 years ago but all of H's daughters embrace R if not as their new dad, but for sure as the new man in their mom's life and their new confidant and person they could lean on and trust. This was a heartwarming observation. How come R was able to win all of the girls (even the teenage one's!!) hearts and trust?! I shared with R my observation and admiration and asked him whether he knew why he was able to create such a great relationship with the girls in such a short period of time?

His answer was short and sweet: say what you gonna do and do as you say; in short keep your word and be reliable. When he says they are going skating on the weekend, they are going skating on the weekend, period. And if, on rare occassions, he cannot keep his promise, he explains them why and comes up with alternative plans.

R's response reminded me of something I once learned from a sage: treat relationships like bank accounts. Whenever you do something good then you can consider it as an emotional deposit. When you are reliable and create an environment where people can trust you, you are building up a big savings account. The bigger the savings the easier it is to be forgiven in case you cannot deliver on a promise – which eventually will happen, no matter what.

What goes around, comes around. The energies you exude create your perceived reality. Mind you, in R's case, the girls did not have an easy childhood, so it was not a walk in the park for him at all to achieve the loving family life he was enjoying on a daily basis. But his consistency and determination to create the family life he always wanted gradually produced an environment where the kids started to feel comfortable so that they felt safe enough to let down their guard and embrace R full heartedly.

The life you have is 100% a creation of you, your thoughts, belief systems, paradigms, and actions. As you can see, you can also Ride Your Horse in a family setting and proactively and consciously create the life that you want – we are no Bouncy Balls, we are no Victims! We are on Planet Earth to create the life that we want in all and every aspects – may this story inspire you to do so.

“The Alchemist” – A Must Read

For those of you who have not yet read “The Alchemist” by Paolo Coelho, you must drop everything and buy that book. There is a reason why this book has sold over forty million copies! In my opinion this fable is the best story ever written on how following your dream brings about the best in you. The book encapsulates spirituality, power of our mind, creating the life that we want, belief in one-self and the magic of life.

Brazilian storyteller Paulo Coelho introduces Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who one night dreams of a distant treasure in the Egyptian pyramids. And so he’s off: leaving Spain to literally follow his dream. During his journey he learn a lesson or two about life. Along the way he meets many spiritual messengers, who come in unassuming forms such as a camel driver and a well-read Englishman. In one of the Englishman’s books, Santiago first learns about the alchemists–men who believed that if a metal were heated for many years, it would free itself of all its individual properties, and what was left would be the “Soul of the World.” Of course he does eventually meet an alchemist, and the ensuing student-teacher relationship clarifies much of the boy’s misguided agenda, while also emboldening him to stay true to his dreams. “My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer,” the boy confides to the alchemist one night as they look up at a moonless night.

    Here is a quick summary*:

When Santiago, a young shepherd boy from the Spanish countryside of Andalusia , has a dream that reveals the location of a hidden treasure buried at the Egyptian Pyramids his simple life is suddenly torn in two. Part of him wants to take the chance to go searching for it and the other part of him wants to continue his easy life as a shepherd.
A mysterious king named the king of Salem in Tarifa convinces Santiago that he has succeeded in discovering his Personal Legend. The old king tells Santiago that following his Personal Legend to its conclusion is a person’s only real obligation in life.

Santiago listens to his heart and decides to go on a dangerous search for the treasure. He sells his flock of sheep and heads to Africa, where he is quickly robbed of all his gold and left despondent on the streets. He decides that he was foolish to believe in his dreams and quickly gets a job with a crystal merchant in order to save up enough money to go back home.

After almost a year working for the merchant, Santiago has made a success of the shop and has plenty of money to do whatever he wants. As he’s walking the streets to go back home he suddenly decides to take a chance and continue his search for the buried treasure.

He joins a caravan to make the dangerous crossing across the desert and as he rides the long, slow days away he begins to listen to his heart and to the desert. He begins to understand what the Soul of the World is, and how he fits in.

When the caravan makes it to the oasis, Santiago meets a girl he falls in love with the moment he sees her. The local alchemist, a mysterious man who reminds Santiago of the old king, helps Santiago continue his journey across the desert and teaches him more important life lessons along the way. Although Santiago does not know it, he is becoming wise, and a master in the art of living to the fullest no matter what. Although he has left his true love back at the oasis, he is resolved to follow his dream to its end.

After many adventures, dangers, and important life lessons Santiago finally reaches the Pyramids. His joy at finally being at journey’s end overwhelms him, and he is grateful that he got the chance to follow his dream.

He begins to dig deep into the sand looking for treasure, but before he can get far a pack of thieves shows up, beating and robbing him. They force him to continue digging, and then leave when no treasure is found. One of the thieves, as destiny would have it, tells Santiago an important clue and when they’re gone Santiago can’t help but laugh, because now he knows where his treasure truly lies.

It ends up being right back where his journey began, under the very tree where he had the prophetic dream years before. He digs and finds a beautiful chest full of gold and gems. His next and last journey will be back to the desert to be reunited with the woman he loves.

Even if you have read this book once or several time before, it will not fail to give you a boot and make you wonder whether there indeed is a higher power behind what we call life.

A True Story?! – You Always Choose What You Would Want To Believe!

Once upon a time there  was a poor Scottish farmer. His name was Fleming. One day, while trying to eke out a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.

The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman’s sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.
“I want to repay you,” said the nobleman. “You saved my son’s life.”
“No, I can’t accept payment for what I did,” the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer’s own son came to the door of the family hovel.
“Is that your son?” the nobleman asked. “Yes,” the farmer replied proudly.
“I’ll make you a deal. Let me take him and give him a good education. If the lad is anything like his father, he’ll grow to a man you can be proud of.”
And that he did. In time, Farmer Fleming’s son graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Years afterward, the nobleman’s son was stricken with pneumonia.
    What saved him? Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill.
His son’s name? Sir Winston Churchill.

Someone once said that what comes around goes around.

Reading this wonderful story reminded me of the book “Life of Pi”, where at the end, after having recounted his adventure, or was it an ordeal?, Pi offered a different, much more sober version, leaving it to the Japanese officials, who had traveled halfway across the globe to interview him, to decide which one they preferred.

I chose to believe the original and not the sober version.

Also here you can choose for yourself whether you would want to go with the above version or go with the version that is provided by The Churchill Centre and Museum.

    Weston Price – The Uberdentist

I have delved into many nutritional theories over the years. While I never promote a single theory, as I totally buy into the “bio-individuality” concept, where one man’s food is another man’s poison, I still have become a keen fan of Weston Price thoughts, findings, and theories and thus wanted to share them with you:

Weston A. Price, DDS was a Cleveland dentist, who has been called the “Charles Darwin” of Nutrition. Searching for the causes of dental decay and physical degeneration he observed daily in his dental practice, he turned from test tubes and microscopes to study “people with fine teeth” – the isolated “primitives”.

Traveling worldwide, Dr. Price found that beautiful, straight teeth, freedom from decay, stalwart bodies, resistance to disease, and fine characters were typical of primitives on their traditional diets.

Dr. Price’s classic volume, “Nutritional and Physical Degeneration”, published in 1939, is available from the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation at www.ppnf.org and describes the fieldwork he did in the 1920s and 1930s among various world cultures, with the original goal of recording and studying the dental health and development of pre-industrial populations including tribal Africans and Pacific islanders, Inuit, North and South American natives, and Australian aborigines. His book contains numerous photographs of the people he studied, and includes comparison photographs of the teeth and facial structure of people who lived on their traditional diet and people who had adopted or grown up on industrialized food. In certain instances it was possible for Dr Price to examine and photograph traditional with industrialized eaters from the same family. These photographs illustrate in an unforgettable way the physical degeneration and problems that occur when human groups abandon nourishing traditional diets in favor of modern convenience foods: such as arthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, intestinal problems, and chronic fatigue.

His worldwide findings clearly showed that dental caries and deformed dental arches, resulting in crowded, crooked teeth and unattractive appearance, were merely a sign of physical degeneration, resulting from what he had suspected – nutritional deficiencies or as he called them “impoverished foods of civilization” – sugar, white flour, pasteurized milk, and convenience foods filled with extenders and additives.

Price also noticed that his younger patients were suffering from dental problems such as crooked teeth, overbites and pinched nostrils. These children also suffered from problems of infections, allergies, asthma, poor vision and behavioral problems.

As Price made these discoveries, he also came up with an idea. He set out on a global trek to examine other primitive societies and their health conditions and teeth. He found that those in other cultures had diets that were at least four times higher in minerals and vitamin C and B complex than the diets of Americans. Many of the healthy groups of people that Price studied ate special foods like cod liver oil, fish, eggs, organ meats, cream and butter and raw unpasteurized whole milk from grass-fed cows.

Price then formulated his findings into the Weston Price Diet. This diet goes against 20th and 21st century popular diet recommendations, which emphasize a low-fat diet. Instead, the Weston Price Diet, and through the funding efforts of the Weston A. Price Foundation, advocate for an eating style that is nutrient-dense, natural and unprocessed.

The Weston Price Diet espouses that the modern diet is the reason for chronic disease as well as the surge in overweight and obesity trends. The program encourages a diet that is generally low-carbohydrate with the basis of calories coming from natural and animal-based food sources. The following foods are allowed on the Weston Price Diet:

    • Butter, cream and whole raw milk
    • Organ meats, such as liver
    • Pasture-fed meats, dairy and eggs
    • Wild fish, shellfish and fish roe
    • Organic vegetables and fruits
    • Traditional lacto-fermented foods
    • Healthy lacto-fermented soft drinks
    • Homemade bone broths
    • Properly prepared whole grains and traditional sourdough breads
    • Unrefined salt

    Foods to avoid are:

    • Modern soy foods
    • Pasteurized, homogenized dairy
    • Margarine and trans fats
    • Processed vegetable oils
    • Dry breakfast cereals
    • Artificial sweeteners and additives
    • Fast foods and sodas
    • Refined sweeteners and fruit juices
    • White flour products
    • Factory-raised meats and farm-raised fish

The diet also encourages eating locally when possible as well as choosing foods that are raised without pesticides, antibiotics, hormones and fertilizers.

Some of the tenets the Weston Price Diet maintains are:

    • Animal fats do not cause heart disease, cancer and obesity but actually protect us against these conditions.
    • Modern soy foods contribute to thyroid problems, digestive disorders and endocrine disruption.
    • Low-fat diets can lead to many health problems, including emotional instability.
    • Vegetarians do not live longer; vegan diets do not protect against cancer and heart disease.

    Diet’s pros:

    • Promotes getting nutrients naturally from animals and foods that are unprocessed
    • Dental health can be linked to overall health
    • Diet recommendations are clear and straightforward
    • Recommends eliminating processed and refined foods
    • Eliminates white flour, refined sweeteners and vegetable oil
    • High fat content will enhance satiety
    • Backed by some scientific studies

    Diet’s cons:

    • Considered a controversial diet because of its promotion of raw milk and high fat, albeit natural foods
    • Requires a tremendous amount of diligence since diet prohibits eating processed foods as well as many grains
    • Not vegan- or vegetarian-friendly

The Weston Price Diet may be considered a controversial program but its basic message deserves a listen to, namely that fat is not to be feared as long as a whole-foods and nature-based diet is steadily consumed.

While vegetarians and vegans won’t find much comfort in this lifestyle eating plan, its promotion of a general low-carbohydrate, nutrient-dense, unprocessed diet as way to maintain health and stave off disease has shown some promise in scientific research studies.

The Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF), co-founded in 1999 by Sally Fallon (Morell) and nutritionist Mary G. Enig (PhD), is a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to “restoring nutrient-dense foods to the American diet through education, research and activism. Its goals include disseminating the research and dietary advice of dentist and nutritional researcher Weston A. Price, who studied the foods and health of isolated non-industrialized peoples around the world, and supporting the scientific validation of traditional diets.

W Clement Stone – Success Through Power Of Mind

If there is anyone you would want to take as a role model, then take W Clement Stone – this is his life’s story:*

When William Clement Stone was just 3, his father died, leaving nothing but gambling debts and a widow and son in poverty.

Living with his mother and relatives in an apartment on Chicago’s rough South Side, 6-year-old Stone sold newspapers to help support the family. In this hardscrabble environment of the early 1900s, he had to compete with older boys for street-corner territory. But the young Stone was adaptable and resourceful. He began concentrating on restaurants as better places to peddle papers.

In what he later recalled as his first experience “turning a disadvantage into an advantage,” he returned repeatedly to one restaurant to try to sell papers, only to be thrown out each time by the owner. Finally, through audacity and tenacity, Stone persuaded the owner to let him set up shop. The owner soon became a great friend, and Stone continued to grow his humble newspaper enterprise. By 13, he owned his own newsstand.

In a life that spanned a century, Stone ultimately became an insurance magnate, philanthropist, publisher, best-selling author, and a pioneer in the field of personal development. Indeed, W. Clement Stone was Mr. Positive Mental Attitude.

But what made him so excited about the possibilities for success? What enabled him to see opportunity in every situation, even in adversity and failure? Colorful and fun-loving, Stone seemed to repel negativity. His life trajectory was a steep climb to ever-increasing success, with every challenge transmuted quickly into useful insight. His personal life was equally successful, married 79 years to his childhood sweetheart, with three children and 12 grandchildren. What did Stone know about living life and doing business that eludes the average person, who is so often subject to disappointment, negativity, frustration and despair?

    A ‘Self-Builder’
Even as a boy peddling papers, Stone was becoming what he later described as a “self-builder” in his autobiography, The Success System That Never Fails. He was modeling his life after the inspiring Horatio Alger stories about poor boys who pulled themselves up by their bootstraps to lead lives of purpose and wealth.

When he was 16, he dropped out of high school to work for his mother at a casualty insurance agency in Detroit. He later would obtain a high-school diploma as well as some college credits, but for the time being, school would have to wait. Already an accomplished salesman and positive thinker, Stone quickly took to the insurance business. His experience selling newspapers made him a fearless cold-caller, speaking of his prospects as “gold calls.” Stone sold staggering volumes of small, inexpensive policies, at one point more than 100 in a single day.

In 1922, he returned to Chicago and, with an investment of $100, established what would become Combined Insurance Company of America (now part of ACE Corporation). The following year, he wed Jessie Verna Tarson, making good on a promise to her when he was 16 that they would marry when he turned 21.

Meantime, Stone set about building a sales force and training his employees in his developing methods and philosophy. Positive mental attitude, or PMA, was the Combined Insurance mantra. Another favorite three-letter abbreviation stood for his favorite form of fi nance—OPM or “other people’s money”—which Stone used to buy other insurance companies and expand his burgeoning empire.

Along with Combined Insurance, Stone’s business acumen, wealth, confidence and happiness grew steadily. He freely shared his sales and self-motivation experience with every salesman who cared to put his bold methods into practice.

    An Irrepressible Optimist
Stone began every day by exclaiming, “I feel happy! I feel healthy! I feel terrific!” and he encouraged his employees to follow his lead. He cut an unforgettably jaunty figure with his signature thin black mustache, smart spats, and brightly patterned vests and bowties, and was seemingly indefatigable when it came to maintaining an upbeat outlook. He once said, “What’s a few million dollars? Everything’s relative.” And when he sensed attention fl agging at meetings, Stone would cry, “Bingo!”

Finance expert and journalist Terry Savage attested to Stone’s morning routine in a 2002 Chicago Sun-Times column commemorating his 100th birthday. “Once I sat a row in front of Mr. Stone on a flight to Europe. As the flight attendants were trying to rouse sleepy passengers for an early morning landing in London, I suddenly heard a loud voice behind me: ‘Stand up. Raise your arms. Repeat after me: I feel healthy! I feel happy! I feel terrific!’ And, you know, I did feel a lot less jet-lagged after I joined him in his everyday ritual,” she wrote.

Even the Great Depression couldn’t diminish Stone’s spirit. By 1930, he had 1,000 insurance agents in his employ selling life and accident insurance. He often hired people with little or no education or prospects, and was likely the catalyst for many a Horatio Alger success story.

Stone later told a New York Times reporter the Depression was a constructive influence, in that it stimulated hard work and ingenuity. It certainly seemed to have that effect for him, as he continually sought ways to increase sales and motivate agents. When he read Napoleon Hill’s seminal work, Think and Grow Rich!, he was so inspired that he distributed copies to every Combined Insurance salesman. Stone credited the resulting upswing in sales to Hill’s principles.

    A Fortuitous Meeting
Some years later, Stone made a point of meeting Hill when Hill came to Chicago to give a lecture. Stone convinced him that, through their combined philosophies, they could accomplish great things and inspire people the world over—and in 1952, they began a legendary partnership. Together, they produced books, courses, lectures, and radio and television programs. In 1954, they published Success Unlimited, the predecessor to SUCCESS magazine.

In 1960, Stone and Hill published what became one of the most widely read personal-development classics, Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude. The book was an instant best-seller that attracted other disciples, including Og Mandino, who claimed it was the turning point in his life, helping him escape a downward spiral of alcoholism. Mandino later joined Combined Insurance, as well as Success Unlimited as its editor, and became a best-selling author in his own right.

By 1979, the little insurance company W. Clement Stone started with $100 in savings reached $1 billion in assets. Terry Savage remembered interviewing Stone during this time period for a stock market program on TV. “His enthusiasm for the possibilities of life burst through the camera, as stock market quotes streamed below,” she wrote. “It was as if he were exhorting the viewers to believe that they could do whatever they dreamed. And, in fact, that was his message.”

In 1980, the same year that Combined Insurance went public on the New York Stock Exchange (with the ticker symbol PMA), Stone was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for an illustrious life’s work that focused heavily on philanthropy. Over the years, W. Clement and Jessie Stone donated money to myriad charities and individuals, never hesitating to give if they thought the cause worthwhile.

    Abundance Through Giving
A candid bit of advice from Stone originally published in Success Unlimited sums up his philanthropic beliefs: “Be generous! Give to those you love; give to those who love you; give to the fortunate; give to the unfortunate; yes—give especially to those to whom you don’t want to give. Your most precious, valued possessions and your greatest powers are invisible and intangible. No one can take them. You, and you alone, can give them. You will receive abundance for your giving. The more you give, the more you will have.”

When he died several months after his 100th birthday in 2002, W. Clement Stone had given an estimated $275 million away to charity. One of his favorite organizations was the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and many young people went to school on his dime as part of his dedication to widespread empowerment and education of youth. The W. Clement and Jessie V. Stone Foundation that he and his wife established continues to support countless humanitarian, mental health, religious and community causes. His estate also provides funding for The Napoleon Hill Foundation.

But perhaps the most valuable contribution of W. Clement Stone’s long life was the fact that he was a happy, fulfi lled man who shared his understanding of the simple—but not necessarily easy—habits and attitudes that produce success, wealth and happiness, namely his beloved positive mental attitude. In books, articles, speeches and one-on-one encounters, he shared the universal principles of success that he had used in his own remarkable life as Mr. Positive Mental Attitude.

“All I want to do is change the world,” Stone once said. And through attitude and action, W. Clement Stone, a Horatio Alger story come to life, did exactly that.

A Synopsis Of Abraham-Hicks’ Teachings* – The Law Of Attraction Gurus

    1. You Are a Physical Extension of That Which is Non-physical.

All-That-Is, or that which you call God, is not finished and waiting for you to catch up. You are the leading edge of thought, here seeking more: more of all that feels good to you, more of that which is fresh and gloriously uplifting. (You are, in essence, bringing heaven to earth.)

    2. You Are Here in This Body Because You Chose to Be Here.

You chose the opportunity to experience this delicious contrast in time and space, and with great anticipation you came to co-create with other joy-seeking Beings, to fine-tune the process of deliberate thought. (What, where, when and with whom you create are your choices, too.)

    3. The Basis of Your Life is Freedom; the Purpose of Your Life is Joy.

You are free to choose to discover new avenues for your joy. In your joy you will grow; and in your growth you add to the expansion of All-That-Is. (However, you are also free to choose bondage or pain…but everything anyone chooses is only because they believe it will help them feel better.)

    4. You Are a Creator; You Create With Your Every Thought.

By the Universal Law of Attraction, you are attracting the essence of whatever you are choosing to give your attention to — whether wanted or unwanted. And so, you often create by default. But you can know by how your emotion feels if what you are attracting (creating) is what you are wanting or if it is not what you are wanting. (Where is your attention focused?)

    5. Anything That You Can Imagine is Yours to Be or Do or Have.

As you ask yourself why you want it, the essence of your desire is activated, and the Universe begins to bring it to you. The more intense your positive feelings, the faster it is coming to you. (It is as easy to create a castle as a button.)

    6. As You Are Choosing Your Thoughts, Your Emotions Are Guiding You.

Your loving Inner Being offers guidance in the form of emotion. Entertain a wanted or unwanted thought, and you feel a wanted or unwanted emotion. Choose to change the thought and you have changed the emotion — and you have changed the creation. (Make more choices in every day.)

    7. The Universe Adores You for it Knows Your Broadest Intentions.

You have chosen to come to earth with great intentions, and the Universe constantly guides you on your chosen path. When you are feeling good, you are, in that moment, allowing more of that which you have intended from your broader perspective. (You are Spirit Incarnate.)

    8. Relax into Your Natural Well-Being. All is Well. (Really It Is!)

The essence of all that you appreciate is constantly flowing into your reality. As you find more things to appreciate, your state of appreciation opens more avenues to more for which to feel appreciation. (As you think, you vibrate. As you vibrate, you attract.)

    9. You Are a Creator of Thoughtways on Your Unique Path of Joy.

No one can limit where you can direct your thought. There are no limits to your joyous journeys to experience. On the path to your happiness you will discover all that you want to be or do, or have. (Allowing others their experiences allows you yours.)

    10. Actions to Be Taken and Possessions to Be Exchanged Are

By-products of Your Focus on Joy. On your deliberately joyous journey your actions will be inspired, your resources will be abundant, and you will know by the way you feel that you are fulfilling your reason for life. (Most have this one backwards, therefore most feel little joy in their actions or their possessions.)

    11. You May Appropriately Depart Your Body Without Illness or Pain.

You need not attract illness or pain as an excuse to leave your body. Your natural state — coming, remaining or leaving — is that of health and Well-Being. (You are free to choose otherwise.)

    12. You Can Not Die; You Are Everlasting Life.

In grace, you may choose to relax and allow your gentle transition back into your Non-physical state of pure, positive Energy. Your natural state is that of Foreverness. (Have fun with all of this! You can’t get it wrong, and you’ll never get it done.)

P.S. It is not necessary for even one other person to understand the Laws of the Universe or the processes that we are offering here in order for you to have a wonderful, happy, productive Life Experience — for you are the attractor of your experience. Just you!

    Birthdays and More…

I LOVE my birthdays. I LOVE my birthday month. It gives me 31 days to focus on myself and seek out experiences I might not necessarily go after in other months. Plus I LOVE the countdown part of having 31 days to anticipate my birthday. March is the most exciting month for me. My energies are different. As soon as February 28th (29th) comes I get into birthday mode. I start visualizing what I will be doing on a daily basis for the next 31 days and how I will treat myself on the 31st. I give myself more “me time” by meditating more, working out more, going for walks by myself, writing in my journal…I am doing all these activities consciously and really staying in the moment appreciating every minute of everything that I am doing…it really gives me a kick to do something and be conscious of it at the same time, it feels like having a twin observing me and by doing so doubling my fun. My birthday is MY day. I am important. I am the main act. It is all about me and I do not have to feel guilty liking it. In my birthday month I have more confidence, I feel zestier, cooler and more daring because I am more in tune with the universe. My frequencies are perfect sinusoids and in perfect harmony with universal frequencies. By me being more in tune with the world, more good things happen to me – I meet interesting people, have wonderful encounters with strangers, I get more clients who want to work with me, I have more insights and epiphanies, and I simply have more fun and enjoy life more than usual and do not worry about things such as: what people might think about me, how something is being perceived by others, whether I will get enough sleep if I continued to stay out, and so forth.

Consciously creating an event that you can look forward to and can count down toward and anticipate has a thrilling effect on you and people around you. I encourage you to do the same – especially those lame farts among you who do not celebrate birthdays – embrace it, no matter how many candles will be put on your cake. Create excitement around it and you will be exciting other people and this excitement will flow into all aspects of your life: better/naughtier sex, more laughter in your day, and more heartwarming encounters. Go on, give it a try, you will be surprised about the outcome!

Healing Your Body With The Gerson Therapy

Throughout our lives our bodies are being filled with a variety of disease and cancer causing pollutants. These toxins reach us through the air we breathe, the food we eat, the medicines we take and the water we drink. As more of these poisons are used every day and cancer rates continue to climb, being able to turn to a proven, natural, detoxifying treatment like the Gerson Therapy is not only reassuring, but necessary.

The Gerson Therapy is a powerful, natural treatment that boosts your body’s own immune system to heal cancer, arthritis, heart disease, allergies, and many other degenerative diseases. One aspect of the Gerson Therapy that sets it apart from most other treatment methods is its all-encompassing nature. An abundance of nutrients from thirteen fresh, organic juices are consumed every day, providing your body with a superdose of enzymes, minerals and nutrients. These substances then break down diseased tissue in the body, while enemas aid in eliminating the lifelong buildup of toxins from the liver.

With its whole-body approach to healing, the Gerson Therapy naturally reactivates your body’s magnificent ability to heal itself – with no damaging side-effects. Over 200 articles in respected medical literature, and thousands of people cured of their “incurable” diseases document the Gerson Therapy’s effectiveness. The Gerson Therapy is one of the few treatments to have a 60 year history of success.

Although its philosophy of cleansing and reactivating the body is simple, the Gerson Therapy is a complex method of treatment requiring significant attention to detail. While many patients have made full recoveries practicing the Gerson Therapy on their own, for best results we encourage starting treatment at a Gerson Institute licensed treatment center.

The Gerson Therapy is a state of the art, contemporary, alternative and natural treatment which utilizes the body’s own healing mechanism in the treatment and cure of chronic debilitating illness. When it was introduced to the world by Max Gerson, M.D., the dietary therapy was so far ahead of its time that there were almost no rationales available in the scientific literature to explain how it could produce cures in chronic as well as infectious diseases. But, because it did cure many cases of advanced tuberculosis, heart disease, cancer and numerous lesser conditions, the Gerson Therapy was established as a major contribution to the medical field, through the publication of articles in peer reviewed medical literature.

Max Gerson treated many hundreds of patients and continued to develop and refine his therapy up until his death in 1959, at the age of 78. His most famous patient was Dr. Albert Schweitzer, whom Gerson cured of advanced diabetes when Schweitzer was 75. Schweitzer returned to his African hospital, won the Nobel prize, and worked past age 90. Schweitzer wrote “I see in Dr. Gerson one of the most eminent geniuses in the history of medicine.”

The Gerson Therapy seeks to regenerate the body to health, supporting each important metabolic requirement by flooding the body with nutrients from almost 20 pounds of organically grown fruits and vegetables daily. Most is used to make fresh raw juice, one glass every hour, 13 times per day. Raw and cooked solid foods are generously consumed. Oxygenation is usually more than doubled, as oxygen deficiency in the blood contributes to many degenerative diseases. The metabolism is also stimulated through the addition of thyroid, potassium and other supplements, and by avoiding heavy animal fats, excess protein, sodium and other toxins.

Degenerative diseases render the body increasingly unable to excrete waste materials adequately, commonly resulting in liver and kidney failure. To prevent this, the Gerson Therapy uses intensive detoxification to eliminate wastes, regenerate the liver, reactivate the immune system and restore the body’s essential defenses – enzyme, mineral and hormone systems. With generous, high-quality nutrition, increased oxygen availability, detoxification, and improved metabolism, the cells – and the body – can regenerate, become healthy and prevent future illness.

Most therapies, conventional or alternative treat only the individual symptoms while ignoring what is ultimately causing the disease. The reason the Gerson Therapy is effective with so many different ailments is because it restores the body’s incredible ability to heal itself. Rather than treating only the symptoms of a particular disease, the Gerson Therapy treats the cause of the disease itself.

Turning 40: And I say the Glass is Half Full!!

Life is beautiful – and it is beautiful because I make it beautiful. We all have it in our hands to make our own life as well as the lives of our family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances as well as our fellow humans beautiful or turn them into a living hell. Turning 40, for the first time, made me consciously aware of my mortality. Never before have I thought about death on such a fundamental and deep level and never before have I felt in every fiber of my being the inexorable march toward my physical end. And I must admit that for the first time in my life I could feel the icy grip of panic around my throat. When I say for the first time, I truly mean for the first time. When I wrestled with cancer in my late teenage years I of course did think of death and dying several times, but I never really believed that my journey on this planet would be coming to an end any time soon. And when I had my car accident some ten years ago, I, practically a second after the crash, knew that I would not only survive but fully recover from this accident – and the thought of my mortality never even crossed my mind. When my father passed less than two years ago, my heart and my soul dived into a deep sea of sorrow where they remained for many months to come. Even though I grieved about the loss of my own father and naturally also thought about death in general and my own eventual funeral I never ever felt the icy grip of death on a fundamental level as I have been these past few weeks. Finally, when the multi-million dollar business that I built up from scratch collapsed without me being able to do anything to avoid its “death”, I was stricken by stress, depression, and fear for my future, but I again, never wasted a second on how much time I still might have left on planet earth. But now, alas, turning 40, the impact and the knowledge of my own mortality finally hit me like a sledgehammer. Now I KNOW that my time here is limited. This knowledge has made me think a lot about what it is that I do and how I spend my time and what it is that I would like to see happen. I am finding myself scrutinizing more and more everything that I am doing as I would want to make sure that what I am doing is serving a higher purpose and is getting me closer to my ultimate goals in each and every aspect of my life. To be in the KNOW has helped me to get even more clarity about where I would want my journey to go. Bundling your energies and focusing on what is truly important and not worrying about anything else will ultimately create a most fulfilled, balanced, happy, and healthy life.

Reshift Your Thoughts And You Will Find A Solution

We all face challenges and problems on a daily basis – small ones and not so small ones; from work related issues with our colleagues and clients and our superiors to family stuff: our spouses, kids and relatives. There seems to be a never ending “supply” of hurdles that we are being exposed to. So obviously life cannot be about avoiding hurdles altogether but rather how to overcome them in as fast and as effective a way as possible.

What is it that we usually do when faced with a challenge? We put all of our energies into it. The bigger the challenge the more we invest. We of course have the best of intentions as we want to resolve the issue as fast as possible and go about our life. But in many, many cases all we achieve is feeling stuck and overwhelmed as the more energies we put into the situation the bigger it seemingly gets. We might end up so frustrated and helpless that we won’t be able to see the forest for the trees anymore.

There is a way out. Shift your energies. Shift your focus. Help your mind so that it can help you. Withdraw completely (or at least as best as you can) from the problem at hand. Leave it behind and focus on something completely different. What I do, is go on a walk.

Every day I go on a power walk. When I say power walk, I truly mean a power walk! No “window shopping” or leisurely stroll through my neighborhood – wherever that might me, given how much I travel. Once I start my walk I am on a focused and determined journey. I get my heart rate up and get my sweat glands going. It is exercise. I engage all of my body. My legs of course and my arms. I breathe in and out consciously. Why am I doing so you might ask? I want to break myself free from the paradigm that I was in when focused on my work and problem.

Pulling myself away from the task gives my mind a break and my own tension levels go down. Because I start relaxing when on a walk, I untie all the bound energies from before. My mind feels free. With this new set-up my mind starts to shift its focus on the solution and while I am walking I am connecting with the universe seeking a result. It is amazing to observe how our mind works and how it can subconsciously tap into the cosmic energies and create solutions. Usually, by the time I am finished with my walk, I have a solution or at least a part solution to my problem.

Even if I am not faced with a hurdle, I go on my daily walks. It is a routine I do not want to miss. It is my way to show my mind and my soul how grateful I am for everything that I have and experience and that I appreciate life, myself and the solutions that I can come up with if and when needed.

Try this out and you will be amazed about the results. Let me know how this is working out for you!

“The Green Lantern” or how to create your Dream Life

I recently watched the movie “The Green Lantern” and it threw me right back into my childhood – a period of my life where my imagination knew no limits and everything was possible, absolutely everything. Sitting in the movie theater and watching the fantastic creations of the ring left not only with a big smile on my face but also reminded me that there are really no limits to what I can achieve in my life, as long as I can perceive it in as detailed a way as possible and believe that it will become reality.

The gist of this Marvel comic legend is that as the bearer of the ring you can, through the energy of the ring, which it receives from the ‘universe’, create anything you want in order to help save the world. The only limitations there are is what the ring bearer can actually envision. The clearer his vision and the stronger his belief, the more effective his ring’s creations will be.

Apart from the fact that the ring chooses his bearer I thought that a real cool feature of the ring was that it draws its energy and power through the combined energy of the universe – showing us that the universe with all its living creatures are interconnected.

When thinking back through my life I can say that everything that I wanted, envisioned and believed that it would happen actually became reality – here is an example of how my very own “Green Lantern” worked its magic:

In 2007 I was attending the Institute for Integrated Nutrition in New York. My friend and I traveled once a month to NY and spent a weekend studying with some 1,800 fellow classmates from across the nation at Columbus Circle. It happened that the 31st of March, my birthday, fell on a class weekend. On Friday, March 30th, already in NYC, I met up with a few friends who had organized a little get-together for me, which I thought to be very sweet of them and I really enjoyed hanging out with them. On the 31st, when walking into our classroom, a temporarily converted concert hall, I was really excited to see what was organized for my birthday. So I asked my friend whether she had organized anything for me – she simply said ‘no’. I got really pissed at her as she, despite knowing how important birthdays are to me, did not do anything to set up a little party for me. Here I was in the heart of New York City, sitting among almost 2,000 people in an environment that I loved and highly enjoyed, but felt like the loneliest guy alive. I started to get angry and feel sorry for myself. All of this happened at around 10:30 in the morning. When I caught myself feeling like a victim, I said stop to myself and put the breaks on my growing emotions of anger, pain and sadness. Instead I closed my eyes and created the coolest birthday I could imagine for that day: 1) I wanted the entire class to applaud me for my birthday, 2) I wanted to have a private chat with the director of the institute I was studying at (at that time he had no clue who I was) 3) I wanted to be on stage and feel how it was to talk to an auditorium of nearly 2,000 people and finally 4) I wanted to have a dinner gathering in a cool restaurant/bar with friends and the principal of the school coming as well.

To me these wishes were quite daring and exciting as I had no clue how these wishes might possibly come true in such a short period of time. I had no clue how to attain any of my wishes in such a short period of time. Basically my wishes had to come true or be on their way by 4:00 in the afternoon as that was when school ended for the day.

Nothing happened for a couple of hours – we had our lunch break and resumed class at 1:00 p.m. At 2:00 p.m. I left my seat to go to the bathrooms. For whatever reason, before returning back to my seat I went upstairs to check out the upstairs section and to look down into the auditorium. While looking down I saw that the director of the institute was sitting in my seat talking to my seat neighbor. My heart rate went up when I saw this and rushed back to my place. When I got back to my seat the director had already left my seat, so I asked my neighbor what he had wanted from us and I got the most amazing answer – he had come over to invite us to his hotel room at the end of class for a private get together. I thought to myself that this was simply crazy and started to internally smile.

During the final hour of class a lively discussion had broken out and I indicated that I had something important to share – to my utter surprise the director of the institute came to my seat gave me the microphone and asked me to go on stage and share my thoughts with the rest of class. So I got up and started to walk to the front as all of a sudden some of my classmates who knew me better started to shout ‘happy birthday’. More and more people realized that it was my birthday so eventually the entire auditorium started to clap and wish me a happy birthday. Standing in front of a couple of thousand people and being wished a happy birthday was a mind-blowing experience and while I enjoyed the attention that I was being given I started to hear the theme of ‘Twilight Zone’ in the back of my mind as I realized that another wish just had come through.

Later on that afternoon when I had a private chat with the director I asked him if he wanted to join some of us that evening helping me celebrate my birthday. First he said no, claiming that he was tired and in general did not mix too much with students but nonetheless he asked me for my cell phone so in case he could make it he would give me a call.

Well, needless to say that he did call me later that night and we all ended up celebrating my birthday in a trendy restaurant in Manhattan.

The power of our mind is incredible and unbelievable – we can create anything we want as long as we dare thinking it. Utilize the inner “Green Lantern” that we all have built in and you will be amazed at what is possible for us in this world.

There Is No Such Thing As “Impossible!” – You Want It, You Get It – The “Money” Exercise!

As already indicated in last week's blog entry, I am 110% convinced that no matter how dire or helpless the situation or seemingly grand and 'impossible' a wish, through the power of our mind and the miraculous force of creation and visualization teamed up with an unshakable belief that our vision will become reality, we are able to create the most amazing life for ourselves and others.

Just a few years ago I lost a lot – my dad, my girlfriend and financially I lost literally everything. My situation looked dire and I admittedly started to doubt in my own magical powers. But I continued to do my routine exercises and brushed off every attack of doubt that crept up in my mind and continued to focus on what it is that I truly wanted – complete financial independence so that I only had to work because I wanted to work, a flexible work schedule so that I could have a lot of quality 'me' time to do sports or yoga or travel or simply do absolutely nothing at all.

Well, within a couple of years my life has totally changed – I am now looking at an annual income that will provide me with my financial independence within the next few years – my income is growing at an exponential rate without me really feeling that I am working as what I do really gives me pleasure. I am leading an almost completely flexible life style so that I can indulge in 'me' time and do nothing at all or travel to a foreign destination just as I had envisioned it a few years back.

Having gone through a complete financial collapse has allowed me to experience first hand that really the only difference between utter success and complete failure is how I think about and perceive life – our thoughts and belief systems pre-generate our experiences. In my search on how to overcome how I felt about money, I came across the following exercise which I consciously practiced for a very long time. At that time I had to count practically every penny that I owned and so $20 or $50 were a lot of money to me. As I hated how it felt not being able to afford anything anymore I focused my energies on how to make myself feel that I indeed could afford most, if not all, things that I desired. I started to put a $20 bill in my wallet and walked through the streets with open eyes and an open mind, making sure to tell myself that whatever item that I came across that cost up to $20 I could indeed afford. So by the end of the day I had literally hundreds of things on my list that I theoretically could have bought I chosen to do so. After a while I put a $50 bill in my wallet and started to do the same exercise only increasing the price tag to fifty dollars. I was really amazed how much more I could have bought had could afford. And finally I put a $100 bill in my wallet and roamed the streets and the web in search of things that I could afford.

What a powerful exercise that was. I did this for several weeks and even though I could not see an immediate result I knew that eventually my mind would create me the reality that I wanted. Lo and behold, a year after I did the exercise I started to make good money again and now I sometimes earn several thousands of dollars per day!!! How crazy (cool!) is that?! I am not wearing a suit, I do not have to show up in an office at 7:00 in the morning and I do not hate my job – quite the contrary I love what I am doing: coaching people in lifestyle and mental attitude, guiding people through Europe, as well as help running a business, leading it to it's IPO in a few years from now. It is simply jaw dropping how things have turned out for me in such a short period of time – sometimes I cannot believe my own 'luck'. (Even though I know that I created this 'luck' myself through the power of my mind).

Today my tip to you is pretty simple: put a bill in your wallet and start focusing on what it is that you can afford as opposed to what you cannot afford and before you know it things will also start changing for you. Good 'luck' ;)

When you have a Meaning in your Life, You can overcome even the most atrocious challenges

Viktor Frankl, an Austrian psychiatrist who survived Auschwitz, wrote a book that is commonly known as "Man's Search for Meaning". In his book he concludes that the meaning of life is found in every moment of living; life never ceases to have meaning, even in suffering and death. Frankl observed that those inmates who had something meaningful to do upon their release from the concentration camp, such as a teacher returning to his students or a physician taking care of his patients, or someone waiting for their return back home, such as children or a spouse, had a much higher chance of survival than those without any meaningful life back home. Knowing that someone was depending on their return gave inmates the strength to deal with even the worst atrocities imaginable. Frankl himself, in part, survived Auschwitz because he had a loving wife and family who were waiting for him as well as a profession that he loved. He imagined sharing his experiences in the concentration camp with his students at the university in Vienna where he taught and lived.

I quite frequently meet people who, despite facing most challenging times, continue to focus on experiences that give them joy and happiness, such as travel or spending time with their grandchildren.

When my world collapsed around me a couple of years ago: within just a few months I lost my father, my multimillion dollar business collapsed, my girlfriend told me that there won't be a future for us and finally I was told by my doctors that my cancer treatment over twenty years ago, had caused some damage to my heart which I eventually would have to tackle head-on by undergoing surgery, I started to think that this downward spiral would never end and that I would eventually end up on the streets. Despite all the stresses that I was exposed to, somehow I focused on the moments in the future where I could share my experiences with my future family as well as the rest of the world. I envisioned how I would be able to help other people overcome their challenges better and faster through my work: blog, videos, seminars, books and lectures. The focusing on my future, better, life, helped me to step outside of my current situation and gain some distance. With the distance came clarity and focus. The more I was able to separate myself from the collapsing world around me, the more I was able to relax and focus on the life that I wanted for myself in the future. Gradually, with each passing month and with each small success in my life,  my self esteem got stronger and stronger so that I eventually dared to dream big again. Big as in retiring by 45 where I only work because I would want to work and that my work would revolve around travel and people and that it would pay me handsomely. Well, today, just a relatively shot period of time after my financial collapse I may say that I am well into my way of achieving exactly that.

There is no secret to my successes and achievements – if I can do so, I am convinced that you can do so, too. Find something in your life that "turns you on", that makes you happy and that makes you feel wanted and fulfilled. For me this is traveling the world and interacting with people – what would it be for you?

A Simple but Powerful mind shifting exercise on MONEY!

Money – the constant struggle, battle and challenge in life! We never seem to have enough of it. And if we are in the lucky position that the amount of money that we have is not the challenge then for many it is the fact that earning it comes at a price – more than we are willing to pay for it: we feel exhausted, stressed and burned out.

Believe me, I know what it means to own a lot and lose it all. I was born into a wealthy family and as a child I was used to getting almost anything that I wanted. I grew up in an environment knowing that I was 'privileged' (without having a clue what the word actually means). Even though I was very young, I knew that I was treated differently than other people. At the tender age of eight a revolution swept through Iran and we had to flee the country and leave everything behind – everything. All of a sudden, I was not the privileged kid anymore, but the 'immigrant' in class who didn't speak the language too well. From then onwards it was not dad who provided for us but mom – it were rather confusing times I am telling you, my world not only had collapsed but was also turned upside down.

As a teenager I started to earn my own money and this is when I realized that money came to me rather easily. I don't mean that I did not have to work for my money – quite the contrary, I even had to work very hard for it at times – but I could clearly see that I landed summer and part time jobs that paid a ton more than those my peers were landing – which of course put a big smile on my face.

Long before I realized that everything in life is merely energy, created through the frequencies that we exude, it hit me that making money had little to do with who you were and whether you had a degree or not but rather how you 'felt' about money. When I had money in my wallet I felt, amongst many other things, 'cooler', 'bigger', 'older', and more self confident. With the influx of all these emotions life became more delightful – for example it was almost effortless to chat up girls, and otherwise not so enjoyable aspects of my life, such as exams and school, were easier to deal with. And as an added bonus, I would attract even more money: grandma would slip me a bill, I would find money on the sidewalk or an opportunity would present itself where I could earn extra cash without having to kill myself for it.

This simple but very powerful equation – money in my pocket means a better, smoother life – burnt itself into my mind and stayed with me throughout my entire life in good times as well as in hard and challenging ones. A few years ago when I was faced with my company's collapse, I remembered those carefree times in my teenage years and started to reprogram myself from the ground up about how I felt about and perceived money. Even though my self esteem had hit rock bottom and my stress levels sky high, I knew I had it in my power to ultimately change my life's trajectory. Remembering how I felt as a kid when I had a (large) bill in my wallet I put a couple of $100 bills in my wallet and went on walks. I would go on a shopping spree and everything that I saw and liked I would pretend to buy making myself believe that I could afford it. I would often say thank you that I can afford this or that and that money was coming easily to me. This exercise helped me to change how I felt about money and helped me shift my paradigm from victim in life to money is coming easily and in abundance to me. Admittedly, the exercise did not prevent me from having to file personal bankruptcy a couple of years ago but it helped me to get to where I am today: in 2011 I have made more money than ever before and it is still coming in in droves. Don't get me wrong, I have to work hard for it, but it practically comes to me on a silver platter, all I have to do is to "service it", i.e. guide my groups through Europe, coach my students or manage the business I am a partner in. And I am doing so with a big smile on my face – despite all the stresses that I am exposed to due to my rather busy (work) schedule – as I simply know that money lies out there waiting for me to be picked up. And with this mindset I end up earning my money easier and easier and with more joy than ever before.

Moneyball or the Power of Focusing on what You have Control over!

I just watched the movie Moneyball while visiting Sydney. When I saw that a movie about Billy Beane had come out, I simply had to go and watch it. Not because Brad Pitt plays the lead role or because I am a baseball fan – mind you, after so many years in the US, I still do not understand the rules completely – but because I heard about Billy Beane's achievements. Apparently he was able to convert a bottom of the barrel team into one with the most consecutive wins in baseball's history. Quite a remarkable achievement. I know that there is a lot of controversy about whether he really is a genius or even a successful GM or not but I will not get into any of this as this blog entry is not about baseball or sport per se, but rather about shifting of one's paradigm and focusing on what you have control over as opposed to worrying about things that you have no control over – in his case, the bigger budgets and better players of other teams in the franchise.

Since in my life it is all about the Power of our own Thoughts and how we can Change the set of Paradigms we are in, Beane's achievements quite naturally were rather intriguing to me so I wanted to learn more about him. Beane is the general manager of the Oakland Athletics, a baseball team operating without the mega budgets of the big name teams in the league – his team’s budget in 2002 was less than $40 million per year compared to say $140 million of the NY Yankees. With no money to buy championship talent Beane realized he has to look for a different way of doing things. His challenge was how to put together a team that was able to compete with the best of them while staying within the constraints of his low budget.

He had no clue as to how to go about this but he knew what the challenge was and that he had to do things fundamentally differently to how they had operated before.

Dismissing all of his team’s management efforts and suggestions to simply continue with the way they knew best – the old way – he eventually – (I do not believe in luck only in the power of creation!!) – stumbled across Peter Brand, a young economics graduate working in the back office of a big name competing team in the franchise who was convinced that certain sidelined players had a hidden value. It is this hidden value that Beane and Brand went to use to build a winning team.

They shifted the focus of the game from pitching and batting to whether a player was simply able to get to first base, period. This philosophy is called sabermetrics. Without getting too much into detail, this system is able to identify players that get the job done, i.e. make it to base one, irrespective of their other qualities or inadequacies.
He had the vision that this system could beat the big boys, persistently pursued his goal and had the belief that he would get there. I am sure this was not an easy task at all for him – persuading the management and his team to follow his vision and to buy into a model that no one else had tried out before must have been very draining on him. His system didn't work out right away either. Constant changes and some fine tuning throughout the season gradually helped create the team that beat the record for most consecutive wins in the game's history.

Billy is a prime example that even when you are really down and your livelihood and reputation and future are at stake that you can come out as a winner by simply focusing on areas that you have control over. And if you do not know what it is that you have control over then ask yourself over and over again until you do.

Given what we can learn from Billy I would highly recommend everyone to watch the movie – you might find inspiration in it.

Basically, when it comes down to it, I did the exact same thing when I hit rock bottom two years ago – what are my skill sets and what is it that I know? By changing the frequencies that I was vibrating at the mind frame I was in and focusing on a future that I desire I was able to create the lifestyle I am enjoying today. If I can do it, I am sure you can, too.

A Step by Step Guide on How to Create Your Own Success Story!

Given the success of my last blog entry: "Moneyball or the Power of Focusing on what You have Power over!" and all the feedback I have received, I thought I would write a follow-up blog entry giving you a step-by-step guide on how you can create your own "Moneyball success story".

My philosophies and teachings are pretty straight forward and easy – and because they are so simple, I keep saying "it's easy but not simple; and simple but not easy". Why am I using this mantra? Well it seems that people fall off the wagon because they simply cannot believe how simple the process is – so they try to either overcomplicate things by adding steps to or altering the process or simply not getting or believing in it. And then they wonder why it doesn't work. Those who do understand the process and have faith reap tremendous results.

Allow me to outline the process in as clear and straight forward manner as I possibly can to you:

    1) Step one: Identify the precise problem – what is the actual challenge, what is the issue at hand? (Believe me, in 99% of the time money, or the lack of it, is not the issue!)

    2) Step two: What would be a perfect solution for the problem? Create a solution in your mind. Visualize an ideal picture of how you would want things to be.

    3) Step three: Work consistently at it. You have got take steps that take you to your ideal place. Your actions must be congruent with your vision.

    4) Step four: Believe that it will happen – you must have unwavering faith that results will show up when the time is ready!

For the above steps to work, two statements have to accepted as fundamental laws of the universe:

    1) Everything is energy – literally. From bricks to computers, rivers and airplanes to thoughts, emotions, speech, and planet earth. Since everything is energy then that means that everything is oscillating at at specific frequency. Thus, to change something, anything, one only has to change the frequency of bring about almost instantaneous change.

    2) We are all connected. Actually, everything and everyone are connected through an invisible net of energy: from humans to nature and the animal kingdom to the universe at large. Precisely because of this connection we have an impact on everyone and everything else and thus can alter the course of our fate.
